The Target details page shows one monitored URL and its recent check history.

Use this page to review whether a target is up, warning, down, paused, or waiting for its first check. You can also inspect recent ping and fetch results and see where alerts or recovered messages would be sent.

What this page is for

The target details page answers one practical question:

What happened when Watch checked this URL?

The property dashboard shows the group. The target details page shows the individual URL.

Target identity

At the top of the page, Watch shows the target URL.

The meta row shows:

  • the property this target belongs to
  • the target check mode
  • the target check interval

Use the property link to return to the property dashboard.

Target status

The status card explains the current target state.

Up

The target is currently healthy.

Warning

The target has a warning state and needs review.

Down

The target needs review because recent checks indicate a down state.

Unknown

The target is waiting for its first check, or Watch does not have enough recent check data yet.

Paused

Monitoring is paused for this target. Paused targets are not scheduled until they are enabled again.

Pause or resume target

Use Pause target to stop scheduled checks for this target.

Use Resume target to make the target eligible for scheduled checks again.

Pausing a target does not delete it.

Refresh

Use Refresh to reload the target, recent checks, and inherited notification routing from the local Watch workspace.

Summary cards

The target details page shows summary cards for:

  • last checked time
  • next due time
  • consecutive failures
  • latest response

Last checked

Shows when Watch last recorded a check for this target.

The hint shows the last successful check, or that no successful check has been recorded yet.

Next due

Shows when the target is expected to run again.

The hint shows whether monitoring is enabled or paused.

Failures

Shows consecutive failures and the failure threshold.

The failure threshold controls how many failed runs are required before the target is considered down.

Latest response

Shows the latest HTTP status code when one was recorded.

If Watch did not receive an HTTP response, the card shows No HTTP response. The hint shows recorded response time when available.

Latest error

If the most recent target state includes an error kind or error detail, Watch shows a Latest error card.

Use this card to quickly see the most recent failure reason before inspecting the full check history.

Recent checks

The Recent checks table lists the latest recorded ping and fetch results for this target.

Each row can show:

  • when the check ran
  • whether it passed, failed, returned an HTTP status, or is unknown
  • check type
  • status code
  • response time
  • final URL
  • redirect count
  • error kind or detail

This is the main place to inspect what Watch actually recorded.

Notification routing

The Notifications card is read-only on the target page.

Targets inherit notification routing from their property.

Alerts

Alerts are sent when the target goes down or needs review.

Recovered

Recovered messages are sent when the target comes back up after an alert.

If no routing is configured for the property, the target can still be checked, but Watch does not have a property destination for alerts or recovered messages yet.

To change notification routing, open the property dashboard.

Delete target

Use Delete target only when you want to remove this target from the property.

Deleting a target removes its target state and monitoring history. This cannot be undone.

Troubleshooting

Target could not be loaded

Watch could not load the selected target.

Use Try again, or return to the property dashboard.

No target was selected.

The target details page needs a valid target ID in the route.

Return to the property dashboard and open the target again.

The selected target could not be found. It may have been deleted.

The target no longer appears in the property’s target list.

Return to the property dashboard and refresh the target table.
