About an hour ago, I crossed another milestone in the Siteimp Watch project and got the in-app support documents online . Whenever I build an application, I like to make sure there is good support documentation available from inside the app, close to the page where someone might need it.

Siteimp Watch is a way to monitor everything your computer can access locally. It's not a replacement for cloud-based monitoring, but it fills a different space entirely. Some people already have services they run locally, and with the dawn of local AI models, more and more people will start running important services on their local networks. Uptime is important, but if those services are not accessible to the public internet, cloud-based monitoring will not be able to reach them.

Since Siteimp was already good at downloading pages and already operated on something a lot like an event queue system, monitoring was mostly a matter of changing how jobs are orchestrated. Siteimp scans led directly into monitoring. And since not everyone needs to run scans, Siteimp Watch became a way to get local monitoring out to more people.
